How do I receive a fax into my computer?
You can receive a fax on your computer by using an online fax-to-mail service which allows you to receive faxes as email attachments.
You'll need to sign up with a fax-to-mail provider. This allows your computer to receive faxes as if they were emails, as opposed to the way it was done in the past, with an ordinary analog modem connected directly to a phone line.
Once the sending party sends you a fax, it will be received by your online fax service provider and forwarded as an email attachment and delivered straight into whichever email address you have entered in their system for receiving faxes - usually your primary inbox. From there, you could also have it be delivered to any other email address that has been linked to the same inbox using email rules.
