faxbeep.com has been online since 2000, pre-history in internet terms.
Originally, the site's aim was to provide reviews and ratings of different kinds fax services as well as an interactive forum for discussion on the topic. At its peak, the faxbeep forum had a membership of over 2,000 people worldwide who communicated about fax issues.
However, with massive consolidation in this industry over the past few decades, there are just a handful of distinct service providers remaining. That's why the remaining fax review sites all look the same, comparing the same handful of service providers.
We could have kept doing that, but instead decided to change direction and provide a basic service directly to consumers: allowing users worldwide to send faxes online without locking getting locked (or tricked) into long-term plans.
