The site originally aimed to provide reviews and ratings of different kinds of fax services, with an interactive forum where users could discuss their experiences. At its peak, the faxbeep forum had over 2,000 members from around the world, all discussing fax-related issues.
However, consolidation in the fax industry meant that only a handful of providers remained, and review sites became repetitive.
The Mesozoic Middleware Era

In response to industry changes, we pivoted to offer a direct consumer service for sending faxes online—without the subscription locks that most providers require. This pay-per-use fax sending service now operates at payperfax.com.
The Current, Cenozoic Cybernetic Age

In August 2023 we made another pivot. Recognizing a unique need in the market, we now offer a simple and free Fax Test Service. We provide free test fax numbers in the US and UK that anyone can use to verify their fax machine is working correctly.
